Pensions can be complicated for any business, but using Sage 50 Payroll, they don't have to be. In Sage 50 Payroll you can easily set up and use various types of pension schemes, including salary sacrifice pension schemes.

A salary sacrifice pension scheme deducts the pension contribution from the employee's gross pay, before the calculation of tax and national insurance (NI) takes place. For further information about salary sacrifice pensions, please refer to the HM Revenue & Customs website: www.hmrc.gov.uk/specialist/sal-sac-question-and-answers.htm.

It only takes a few steps to set up a pension scheme in Sage 50 Payroll. Once you've done this, you can start to accurately keep track of your employee and employer contributions, while being confident that the values are correct.
